    • Trails: Thunder Creek Trail (starts at Diablo Lake), Purple Creek Trail
  • San Juan Islands
    • Entrance Fee: San Juan Island NHP (none), Moran SP ($10 per vehicle)
    • San Juan Island
      • Points of interest: English formal garden, Fourth of July Beach, South Beach, Lime Kiln Point State Park (to view marine mammals)
      • Trails: Bell Point Trail
    • Orcas Island
      • Points of interest: Moran State Park, Matia Island State Park (for bird watching)
  • Oregon Dunes NRA
    • Entrance Fee: $5 vehicle
    • Points of interest: Honeyman State Park, Cleawox Lake, Woahink Lake, South Jetty Beach, Sitcoos River (near Dune City), Oregon Dunes Day Use Area, Umpqua Lighthouse, Ziolkouski Beach, Hall and Schuttpelz Lake
    • Rails: Tahkenitch Creek Trail, John Dellenback Trail
  • Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area
    • Entrance fee: None for national scenic area, fee for state parks
    • Points of interest: Multnomah Fall, Bonneville Lock and Dam, Bridge of the Gods, White Salmon River, Columbia Hills Historical State Park
    • Trails: Fruit Loop trail

British Columbia

  • Pacific Rim National Park Reserve
    • Entrance fee: C$7.80 per person
    • Points of interest: Long Beach, Keith Island (open to day visitors),
    • Trails: West Coast Trail
  • Stanley Park
    • Entrance fee: none
    • Points of interest: Seawall, Third Beach, Second Beach, Rhododendron Garden, totem poles at Brockton Point, Native Plant Demonstration Garden
